Award Ceremonies! Free Template for Download!
With the festive season coming, that often means award ceremonies and a Template for PowerPoint! Still, whether that means planning for the upcoming Christmas party and festivities or even if you don’t celebrate anything at all, one thing remains consistent in the business world throughout. It’s the end of the calendar year and with a new year comes a fresh start. This means brand new opportunities and exciting challenges to face.
However, that doesn’t mean that the year that’s just gone by should be ignored completely. We encourage that you embrace what has happened as an opportunity to learn and grow from those experiences. My personal mantra is that there’s no such experience as a bad experience and that every cloud has a silver lining. We should always look at those as an opportunity to say “What went wrong?” and “How can I do better next time?”. But let’s not dwell on that too much, shall we? Take the time for personal recognition and growth and that will be more than good enough! You certainly don’t need me to preach to you any further. Besides, this blog post is for the positives and we should celebrate those!
At the bottom of this post is a free download for your award ceremonies. If it just so happens that you’re not having an end of year award ceremony then hopefully this convinces you otherwise. We believe it’s good to recognise those that have worked hard over the course of the year and to give them a well deserved pat on the back for what they have achieved. Of course this template shouldn’t be used alone. It should also be used in conjunction with a small incentive to the employee.
A gift card voucher or a bottle of an employee’s favourite alcohol/chocolate along with a word of thanks usually goes a long way. We often take for granted that a word of thanks is usually a great motivator for anyone that is doing a good job and it’s something that I encourage all year round. After all, it doesn’t cost anything to be nice to someone.
Anyway, I’ve said enough, right? You’ve come here for the template and so here it is: Awards Ceremony
You can also use a Template like this for a mid-year award ceremony. If you don’t have one of those, try using it for division or industry. How you use it is up to you.
Instructions for Template
After downloading the Template, open it in your version of PowerPoint. PowerPoint opens in edit mode as a default. In the middle pane where you can add content to your slide, look at the bottom. There will be a clear divider. Click and drag this up. Within that white box (which is where you would write speaker notes) are instructions for each individual slide.
What do you think about rewarding employees and having yearly award ceremonies? Do you think this is good to do? How do you decide to do it? We’re keen to hear any different methods that you have employed over the years or any funny stories that you might want to share and so we are always happy for you to contact us directly or to comment on the post below.
